Yeah, poor Duck. I can't imagine that a gay teenage boy growing up in the same small town as Buddy wouldn't have been crushing hard on him. So hard to want someone who isn't wired to want you back.
I'm glad the angst came through. I had to cut this so much to fit it into a single comment that I was worried that some of the emotional depth had been lost.
